This wedding was a blast to shoot. Marissa had fun and unique style. I just love the look of the birdcage veil!!! So classic! Kyle and Marissa spent time apart while Kyle was serving in Iraq. She got the sweet tattoo on her ankle for him, “Love Endures Always”. Kyle is the big nice guy and together they make such a great couple. It was a pleasure capturing your day.

My Favorite Shot of the Day!!!
I follow a lot of photographers from all over the world. I love to be inspired by amazing photographers. I’m always amazed at how many fantastic photographers are out there. One of my favorite photographers is Justin & Amelia Lyon of Amelia Lyon Photography. If you have never heard of these cool cats, you are missing out. Go check out their stuff they are great and some of the best wedding photographers in the industry. Anyway, last month, the Lyons announced that they were going to hold their very own, first-ever, Lyon-Shop workshop. I, of course, pounced (no pun intended
) at the opportunity. I will be flying to Fullerton, California to bask in their invaluable knowledge and lick up any and all of the awesomeness that drips from them. I’m looking forward to meeting new photographers too! So excited!!! I’ll be out Wednesday to Friday so if I’m slow to answer emails, you’ll know why.

These photos are a few weeks old. For the 4th of July weekend, Emily and I went camping with some of our friends to St Croix State Park. This campground is amidst one of the most beautiful areas of Minnesota. This trip has become a tradition for us and we had a blast. Just posting these photos so I don’t forget how great of time we had. Good friends, lots of junk food, and beautiful scenery…AMAZING!
Meet Zoe, she is our adorable Shih-Tzu. This was her first time camping. As you can see, she is smiling from ear-to-ear.

This delicious morsel of goodness was beyond divine. Simply put…take marshmallow, nutella, and peanut butter and stuff it in a banana and put it in the fire!!! You won’t regret it.

Allow me to introduce a super-cute family. I’m convinced these little girls have been soaked in cute juice all of their lives. They are stinkin’ cute. Honestly, if my kids are half this cute I will be one happy father. You may recognize the girls from a shoot I did a year or so ago. You can see that session here or you may remember them from our recent babysitting adventure, you can see that here The Curtis family are some of our dear friends. Sadly, they moved up North so Adam could start North Branch Dental. We are excited for their success. Needless to say, we miss having them around but it was a pleasure to photograph their family. If you’re looking for a great dentist, I suggest you give Dr. Curtis a call.
