I had the opportunity to photograph Brian in St Paul. His family are good friends of ours. Brian’s mom wanted to capture some photos of him as he is preparing to serve a 2 year mission for the LDS church. This session was a fun change of pace. Brian is a great guy and no doubt will be a great missionary. This session was shot early on a Saturday morning. I loved the morning light, it was so perfect! BTW, if you’re at Costco…watch out…Brian is one of the nicest guys you’ll find working there.

The following sequence of images were the result of an idea that I had to have Brian act as though he were a church choir…love these shots!

I was so excited when Karen contacted me a couple of months about photographing a maternity session. Honestly, I haven’t shot one before but have been wanting to shoot one in my style. It was a chilly Minnesota day and the light was fantastic. Karen and Chris were such a sweet couple and I’m so excited for them. They were great to work with and am feel so privileged to have captured this special time in their lives. Thanks Karen & Chris!

How lucky am I? This couple randomly found me earlier this year. We did all consults over the phone as Becky & Joel live in Indiana. I finally met Becky in person a couple weeks before the wedding and met Joel the day of the wedding. This kind of scenario can sometimes make it difficult for the photographer and the couple to connect on the wedding day. Capturing Joel and Becky’s day felt just like hanging with old friends. They were absolutely fantastic to work with. Becky and Joel were stunning and so easy going. Despite somewhat cold temperatures, we did not get rained on and the lighting was great. Becky and Joel have something special…it may sound cliché, but these two were absolutely adorable together. Becky and Joel…I wish you two the best in the future. Thanks so much for having me along for the wedding day.

A few weeks ago, I tried to photograph A+T’s engagement session. Unfortunately, the rain and wind was just too much for us. I told them I didn’t want them to get just “ok” photos so we decided to reschedule. On the morning of the rescheduled date, we had snow on the ground. Since the session was in the afternoon, we decided to see how the weather would be. Luckily, the weather cooperated and we carried out the shoot. The cool fall air and the colorful leaves made for great photos. I’m really looking forward to A+T’s wedding this winter.
